The Bangladesh Education Board has opened applications for rechecking of Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exam results for the 2026 academic year. The process began on August 17, 2023, with over 500,000 students submitting requests for reevaluation of their grades. The rechecking process is conducted by the board’s examination department, which has allocated specific dates for submission of applications and for the actual rechecking of answer sheets.
Students who wish to challenge their results must submit their applications through the official website of the Bangladesh Education Board. The deadline for submitting recheck requests is set for September 15, 2023. Once the applications are received, the board will process them in batches, with the first round of rechecks scheduled to begin in early October.
This rechecking process is a common practice in Bangladesh’s secondary education system, allowing students to request a review of their exam results if they believe there may have been an error in grading. The HSC exam is a crucial milestone for students, as it determines their eligibility for higher education and career opportunities. The recheck process ensures that students have a fair chance to verify their results and make informed decisions about their future.
The rechecking system has been in place for several years, with the board continuously working to improve the accuracy and transparency of the grading process. Despite the high number of applicants, the board has assured that the process will be conducted efficiently and within the set timelines. The results of the rechecked exams are expected to be released by early November.
